New York Times website: Styrofoam containers, plates and cups may soon disappear forever in New York State. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is proposing to ban the use of disposable tableware and foam-filled pellets made of polystyrene across the state. The ban, if passed, will come into effect in 2022.
